Hey Witch!
Is it okay that I call you that? Some people still recoil but honestly I feel like we need to take the term back. For centuries, it was used to tear women down, extract their power and remind them of the limits set by society. But today? We've reclaimed it as a badge of honor, embracing the mysticism, intuition, and strength within us all. From Stevie Nicks to Rachel True, women are stepping back into their power and shunning the shame that’s been heaped on for centuries.
Scorpio season is the perfect time to channel and embody this powerful force! No other sign invites us to lean into that deep, primal energy and face the emotions that arise. It’s the season for transformation, shadow work, and letting go of what no longer serves us. There is power to be witnessed and released when we dig to the bottom of our pain and, let’s face it, there is more than a little pain around these days. Life doesn’t seem to match our expectations. Goals continue to feel out of reach and we’re tired, OMG are we tired. If you aren’t ready to burn it all down and dance naked around a fire then I’d like to know your secrets!
During November we're going to continue to ride incoming waves that call on to get really clear about what it is we're calling into our lives. What hopes and dreams ignite powerful passion within you? Have you held on too long things that really no longer serve you? Are you feeling a bit lost in the liminal space between what used to be and what is still coming? I feel like I'm writing this in my own journal because this is the exact energy I'm personally dealing with. WTF am I even doing and why does it feel so hard right now?!
In a way, the planets have been teaching us to embrace tolerance and understanding of one another, even urging us take a look at the bigger picture. Yet, we have this collective wound of Chiron in Aries reminding us that we have to be willing to fight for who we are. We can so easily get lost in the crowd, lost in our relationships and jobs, even lost in our friendships and find that the secure identity we built no longer seems to fit. Like your tennis shoes in elementary school, suddenly your big toe is poking out and no matter how much you loved these shoes, they’re simply worn out. Worn from love, not from changing your mind or abandoning them. It’s a different more bittersweet feeling when loss arrives from love something that had been working just fine.
If I could use one word to describe November it would be bittersweet. We charted a course for ourselves earlier this year or maybe even four or five years ago and now the tread has worn off and we’re out of gas. Now we’re stuck in a strange place we never expected to stop, feeling very alone. For many it feels like waiting in the liminal space between what was and what will be. So, if you’re feeling that tension between what was and what will be, know that you’re not alone. We’re all swirling in this cosmic cauldron together, brewing something new, something powerful. Use this time to reflect, release, and remember who you are at your core: a powerful, intuitive, and magical force of nature.
The planets don’t have all the answers for you this month, but they will help ignite that inner fire that refuses to settle for anything less than your truth. And that’s really the heart of being a witch, isn’t it? Standing in your power, reclaiming your magic, and refusing to let the world define you.
This Scorpio season, don’t be afraid to release your inner witch. Dance around that bonfire—literally or metaphorically—and let the flames transform you! You’ve been through so much, and you’re still standing. That in itself is magic.
